- You must be 18+ and provide accurate information to create an account.
- Listings must be accurately described, and market price must be genuine, not inflated to fake a discount.
- Buyer payments are held by BOOM until confirmed receipt or the 3-day auto-release.
- BOOM takes a 7% commission on completed sales; listing is free.
- Prohibited, stolen, counterfeit or unsafe items may be removed and the account suspended.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to register. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for anything done through it. Trader/shop accounts may require BOOM's approval before their first listing is published.
2. Listings
Sellers must describe items accurately, including condition, and set a genuine market price — not an inflated figure used to fabricate a discount. BOOM may remove a listing, and penalise the seller's reputation score, if it's found to misrepresent an item, or if it's later reported and the report is upheld.
3. Payments and escrow
When a buyer pays for an item, funds are held by BOOM's payment partner, not transferred to the seller immediately. They're released to the seller when the buyer confirms receipt, or automatically 3 days after delivery if the buyer takes no action and has not opened a dispute. BOOM retains a 7% commission from the item price at payout.
4. Disputes
A buyer may open a dispute instead of confirming receipt if an item did not arrive or was materially different from its listing. BOOM reviews the listing, the item as received and both parties' account of events, and may issue a full or partial refund, or release the funds to the seller, at its reasonable discretion.
5. Prohibited items and conduct
Stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, illegal, or age-restricted items without appropriate verification may not be listed. Attempting to move a transaction off-platform to avoid buyer protection or commission is not permitted and may result in suspension.
6. Reputation and reviews
Buyer reviews are only accepted on completed orders. Sellers may not offer buyers any incentive in exchange for a review, and reviews found to be fake or coerced may be removed.
7. Suspension and termination
BOOM may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, misuses buyer protection, or repeatedly attracts upheld disputes. You may close your own account at any time; open orders must settle first.
8. Liability
BOOM facilitates transactions between independent buyers and sellers and is not the seller of any listed item. Our liability is limited to funds actually held in escrow for the order in question.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves; continued use after a change means you accept the update. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
